First tag – VCU campus

Last night, shenanigans were had at Virginia Commonwealth University. I only had three pieces to put up, and was aided and abetted by a few non-knitting friends. One of them let me stand on his back to try and shimmy a piece that was meant to be an antenna cozy onto a lonely signless signpost. Now I’m at a bit of a loss. Saw the perfect target for another yarnbombing. It’s well lit and would require a ladder, so I’m thinking of waiting until I have some knitting/crochet accomplices.

A knit has been released into the world.

No brushes with the po-po, but at one point we were being accosted by a large, angry looking woman and had to run for it. There was a couple sitting in a car on the side of the road having an argument, with the windows down. As we passed them, we gave them a solemn warning: “Godzirra is coming!”

We noticed someone was STILL at the library, so we cozied up the bike rack next to his wheels. Hope it makes him smile after the long night studying.

Also, if there are any knitters in the Richmond area, e-mail me at darth.knitious@gmail.com Let’s get together to do a group tag sometime, or even just a local knitting group.

Putting the second tag around a light post. So glad I followed other yarn bombers tips and had needles pre-threaded and ready to go.

This had been my first time at VCU, so I really just followed my friends around until I noticed a place where I wanted to put up the knittings. I think next time I choose a new place, I’ll go ahead and check it out that I can have measurements and ideas set out before I start knitting.

I cant believe my friend had me stand on his back to get up there. I also cant believe I didnt break him!

Greetings from a fellow craftster! Most excellent yarnbombing. I wish I could be there to participate!
